Losing Moyer

Hello blogging world! I hope that everybody is enjoying the last few days of summer.....Eating big dipper and lots of BBQ; I know that I have. Well this blog is more for me than anyone else because it is a sports posting .... In 1996 my beloved Seattle Mariners made their best trade ever, they traded Darren Bragg for Jamie Moyer. Jamie Moyer has since been a star for the Mariners and recently became the most winning pitcher in Mariner history. Moyer is one of my favorite players and one of just a few doing well. (the Mariners are currently in a ten game losing streak). Sadly enough last night the Mariners traded Moyer to the Philadelphia Philles for two minor league players. Although it is likely a good trade for the future of my teamI will miss Moyer for his great pitching and for all the wonderful things he has done for the city of Seattle. He has many charities; most of which help children. I guess I will be a Phillies fan for the rest of the season because the Mariners have no hope of making the playoffs.....just maybe Moyer can bring a world series to the Phillies.

Oregon Tales

Alas, another posting......another attempt at explaining what I have been up to. It has been kinda a crazy last couple weeks in my life. From deep joy to deep sadness it has just been a little draining. However, this morning I took a nice little walk and just spent some time praying and talking to God on a beautiful Oregon trail (not the hit game from our childhood). I am always amazed by our God. As I sit and complain and wonder if things will ever work out, His response is ,"Do not worry, I love you." Which seems to me to be the best response I could get. The moral of this post I suppose is that God is wonderful and even though this adventure with God can be hectic at times, it is the best place to be. I am even a little excited to see where this day might take me......

Greetings From Missouri

What an adventure God has been taking me on this past week....I am currently in Springfield Missouri at a conference on college ministry leadership. I took a massive road trip with a pair of ladies I just met...(they are quickly becoming Best Friends Forever) Along the way I learned a few things. Wyoming has a lot of Antelope...Nebraska is the birthplace of Kool-Aid... and Lightning Bugs are the coolest thing ever!!! I have never seen these precious creatures before, I hope they learn to breed in montana. God is doing amazing things here for me... I am blown away by his freshness and love. I miss you all so much, but each night is a new revelation of how amazing God is....See ya soon!

Update and a confession

Well, here I go again...explaining how sorry I am for not blogging. I am now out of excuses for my lack of blogging because I now have a computer. I have been super busy with school and work and such, which should count as a good excuse. My confession is that I opened a myspace account...Why, I am not sure..I feel stupid for doing it. But hopefully it will have some purpose. Well once again I hope to blog more...Baseball season has started and I am already feeling the sadness of being a mariner fan....It is a long season though and maybe it will get better.. Much Love Y'all

Mana Maybe?

God has blessed the guys house with....pitas! This wonderful food was given to the house, and we were given about 600 pitas! At first I was foolish and thought it would be impossible to eat that many pitas. Recently though, my eyes have been opened.. and I am not alone! Lance, Zach, Shuff, and I are just a few of the many believers..With more that a handful of recipes, the newest one is pigs in a comforter: a hot dog, melted cheese, all in a heated pita. It is amazing! Here is Lance about to dig in.....

Figured I should say something about my team

Well like always, it has been a while. I miss blogging, but just don't have enough time. School, work and Chi Alpha take up most of my time. Things have been going well for me lately, except for school......although it is fun having Lance in my Russian Lit class!

The reason for this blog is to share my super bowl sadness. As most should know, I am a huge Seattle sports fan, being raised listening and watching the Mariners (baseball), Sonics (basketball), Huskies (college), and Seahawks (football). For the first time in my lifetime one of my teams played for the championship. Superbowl XL (40) had my Seahawks against the Steelers. Sadly my team lost, dropped passes, poor clock management, and questionable calls all lead to mourning. I am surviving though.....if nothing else pitchers and catchers report to spring training next week!

Enjoying Home

Well here it is..... a new posting from me! For some good reasons like my computer being broke and many lame reasons such as not feeling like it, I have kept my blogging friends in the dark. I am in Oregon right now with my mother. It is so nice to be home and catch up with family. I just had a fun dinner at Joe's Crab Shack on waterfront, which is always amazing. I miss all my friends and of course my lovely girl and look forward to catching up when I get back to Montana. Thanks to Lance for always trying to motivate me to blog more!
